Australian for e-bike
DiroDi is a Melbourne-based, Australian-owned e-bike brand founded in 2018 by Pasha Golshani. They've built a strong following with their Rover fat-tyre e-bike, which notably comes in both a 250W road-legal version and higher-powered variants. DiroDi is one of the few teen-targeted brands that gives buyers a clear compliant option, with a growing range that now includes commuter and step-through models alongside the signature fat-tyre Rover.
Models
Rover Gen 6 (250W)
DiroDi's compliant fat-tyre e-bike. The Rover Gen 6 in 250W trim is one of the few teen-targeted fat-tyre bikes that's genuinely road-legal with AS 15194 certification. Available in Standard (no suspension) and Plus (front suspension) variants. Comes with a two-person seat, integrated rack, and 125 km range in ECO mode.
Rover Pro (250W)
DiroDi's flagship fat-tyre e-bike with dual suspension, electronic rear wheel lock, and lockable under-seat storage. The 250W version is AS 15194 certified and road-legal in all Australian states, making it the top-spec compliant option in the Rover range.
Rover Pro (500W)
The mid-power Rover Pro with 500W continuous motor and 1040 Wh battery. Road-legal in NSW under EPAC transition rules (up to 500W until March 2029), but not compliant in other states. Shares the Pro's dual suspension chassis and premium features.
Rover Pro (1000W)
The highest-powered Rover Pro with a 1000W motor peaking at 1560W and 95 Nm of torque. Built on the same dual-suspension Pro chassis but intended for private property use only — not road-legal in any Australian state.
Rover Gen 6 (500W)
The 500W version of DiroDi's popular Gen 6 fat-tyre bike. Runs a larger 52V/1040 Wh battery and hits 40 km/h. Road-legal in NSW under EPAC transition rules until March 2029, but not compliant in other states. Available in Standard or Plus (front suspension) variants.
Rover Gen 6 (1000W)
The top-power Gen 6 Rover with a 1000W motor, 95 Nm torque, and 50 km/h top speed. Shares the Gen 6 platform and 1040 Wh battery but is not road-legal in any Australian state — private property use only.
Vivo Gen 2 (250W)
A compact 20-inch fat-tyre e-bike at 27 kg — lighter than the Rover and sized for smaller riders. The 250W version is road-legal in all states with front suspension and hydraulic brakes. Available in step-over (Blue) and step-thru (White) frames.
Vivo Gen 2 (750W)
The high-power Vivo with a 750W motor and 90 Nm torque on the same compact 27 kg frame. Shares the Gen 2 platform and 780 Wh battery but hits 40 km/h — private property use only, not road-legal in any state.
Primo Gen 4 (250W)
A step-through commuter e-bike with 27.5-inch wheels and a MIK-HD compatible rear rack — purpose-built for carrying child seats and panniers. The 250W version is road-legal in all states, with a 90 km max range and lockout front suspension.
Primo Gen 4 (750W)
The higher-powered Primo with a 750W motor and 85 Nm torque on the same step-through commuter frame. Shares the Gen 4 platform and 720 Wh battery but hits 35 km/h — not road-legal in any Australian state.
Nova (250W)
DiroDi's only mid-drive e-bike — a 700C commuter with a Bafang motor, 9-speed Shimano Altus drivetrain, and no throttle (pedal assist only). At 26 kg it's the lightest in the range. Road-legal in all states.
